We had a potential caterer come in to show us their wares today. What they usually do is feed us lunch.
OMG
Eating with other secretaries sucks.
They talk to themselves as they go through the line. They talk about how much food they didn't mean to take. Oh my God, that is so much more than I meant to end up with as they munch.
They eat so daintily. They are very careful about how they might touch the food and they wonder where the tongs are even though the bread they touched is going straight from the tray to their plate with no stops along the way. You can see them trying to gauge if they've taken as much as the other people or more than them or less than them.
Except for Twiggy. She doesn't care. And she MAKES SURE she gets whatever it is that she wants. She's like the secretary that grew up in a ginormous family where the motto was, 'Get it before it's gone!'
I don't know what the deal is...but eating with a group of these people is just a big tension ball, I swear.
